The following photo shows Mike's second Gentle Lady. In Mike's words: "I scratched built my first Gentle Lady in 2008 and experienced approximately 800 learning and enjoyable flights. This Gentle Lady I constructed from a kit purchased at a swap meet about a year ago for $20.00. It was not complete and required some scratch building. Constructed of balsa wood, plywood and covered with ultracote. Powered by a Himax brushless motor with an 11-8 folding prop.  Hitex  HS-55 servos control the rudder and elevator, signals are received through a Futaba R617FS receiver and a Phoenix Lite 50 Castle ESC and powered by a three cell 11.1 volt 2200 mAh Turnigy battery."

As of November 2018, Mike is proud of his new plane, the Scepter Sailplane, which has 100 inch wingspan, all balsa and plywood construction, and spoilers. Originally to be launched from a winch, Mike built the pod and installed a 400 watt Himax Out Runner Brushless electric motor. The plane glides and penetrates very well:
